Thinking of Roots

We are human, we can do things to cause change in the system or we adapt to the system sometimes we are the system but in every case we have the voice. We have the voice to either refine, beautify, purify or glorify our surroundings so that we along with everyone we care about are happy or we can change our surroundings. Unlike trees.. trees cannot move yet we compare ourselves with tree we love relating us humans with trees. We say we have roots like trees.. but really? do we have roots? and if we do.. then where are our roots why can't we see our roots. Some says your roots are your culture and that is rooted in the soil where you are born. And yet I don't understand what does that mean? What if I was born in an aircraft.. would I be born with wings instead of roots?
